Meet Your Instructor: Lena Duncan With over 30 years of experience, Lena Duncan is a seasoned belly dance instructor passionate about empowering students through movement. Lena has dedicated her life to the art of belly dance, having taught at her own studio, the former "Navel" Academy, where she shared her expertise and love for the dance with students of all ages and body types. Throughout her career, Lena has led numerous troupes in professional performances, fostering a deep sense of camaraderie and connection among her dancers. She believes belly dancing is more than just an art form; it’s a celebration of community, friendships, and the unique beauty in all of us. For Lena, belly dance is about empowerment, upliftment, and embracing one’s body—regardless of size, shape, or age.
